Gifts of Stock & Securities
We gratefully accept gifts of publicly traded stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares. Donating appreciated securities you have held for more than one year may allow you to deduct their fair market value and avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation.

- Instruct your broker to transfer the shares to us (electronic DTC transfer).
- Send us a short notice with your name, the security and number of shares, your brokerage firm, and the expected transfer date, so we can match the gift to you and acknowledge it.
Transfer instructions are shared on request rather than published, to protect against fraud. Stock gifts are generally sold promptly after receipt. Gifts of privately held stock, restricted securities, or other non-cash assets are reviewed case by case and may be declined — please contact us before initiating.
